Privacy and transparency

Your information deserves clear protection.

Limited collection

We collect ordinary website analytics, approximate location, technical data, and information you voluntarily provide.

02

No data sales

Remote Life does not sell or rent personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Information

Information we collect

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Remote Life website, certain technical and usage information may be collected automatically.

  • Pages viewed and links selected
  • Date and time of visits
  • Referring website or traffic source
  • Browser, device, and operating-system information
  • Approximate city, region, or country
  • Internet Protocol address
  • General performance and error information

Remote Life does not use this website to request precise GPS location from your phone or computer.

Information you provide

You may voluntarily provide information when you email us, request support, book a meeting, use website chat, use client services, or submit an online form.

This may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, appointment details, chat messages, support request, and other information you choose to provide. Website chat also uses an anonymous visitor identifier so your browser can return to the correct conversation without a visible login.

Business Tech Check information

When you submit a Business Tech Check, Remote Life stores the business and contact details you provide, general location, employee and device ranges, current IT model, assessment answers, calculated scores and findings, report status, and payment-confirmation or delivery status when applicable.

The optional contact checkbox controls whether Remote Life may follow up for marketing or consultation purposes. We may still use the email address to identify the assessment, provide a requested report, respond to support questions, or complete a transaction you initiated.

02

Website insights

Firebase and Google Analytics

Remote Life uses Firebase and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website and to improve site performance, content, and navigation.

Analytics data may include page views, session activity, device information, general geographic information, traffic sources, and interactions with selected website features.

The website also records a short-lived anonymous connection timestamp while a browser is connected. This is used only to show authorized operators an aggregate “active visitors” count; the presence record does not contain a name, email address, assessment answer, or message content.

We may record limited custom events when a visitor:

  • Selects a service area
  • Clicks a booking or assessment link
  • Starts, progresses through, or completes a Tech Check
  • Opens a Tech Check report or begins secure checkout
  • Uses the hours calculator or downloads its PDF summary
  • Uses the service-date calculator or downloads its PDF summary
  • Opens the client-access area
  • Selects an email contact link
  • Opens or starts a website chat

A button click does not necessarily mean a booking, purchase, or customer relationship was completed.

Hours-calculator names, rates, work descriptions, notes, and individual time entries remain in the visitor’s browser. Limited analytics may record use of the tool, the number of completed entries, total calculated hours, and selected currency, but not the contents of the timesheet.

Service-date names, organizations, references, notes, and individual service periods remain in the visitor’s browser. Limited analytics may record use of the tool, the number of included periods, total calculated calendar days, overlap days, and the selected planning purpose, but not the contents of the service record.

05

Business operations

Service providers

Remote Life may use trusted service providers to host the website, provide analytics, process appointment requests, operate client-access tools, deliver email, or support other business functions.

Google provides Firebase Hosting, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Realtime Database. Authentication, Firestore, and Realtime Database support the Remote Life website chat, aggregate live visitor count, and its separate operator access.

SyncroMSP provides appointment scheduling, the client portal, and customer support tools. Stripe and its Link service may process payment, contact, device, and fraud-prevention information when paid checkout is enabled. YouTube may receive technical and usage information when video content or related media is loaded or played.

06

Other platforms

External websites and client services

The website may link to or display independently operated scheduling, support, account, social-media, or client-portal services.

When you leave remote-life.com or interact with an embedded third-party service, that provider’s privacy policy may apply.

Those providers may collect information directly from your browser, including technical identifiers and information you enter into their scheduling, portal, video, or payment service.

07

Disclosure

Information sharing

Remote Life may share information:

  • With providers that help operate our business
  • When you request or authorize a service
  • To protect Remote Life, our customers, or others
  • To investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • When required by law or legal process
  • As part of a business merger, sale, or transfer

Remote Life does not sell or rent personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

08

Duration

Data retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, protect security, and satisfy legal obligations.

Analytics and hosting information may also be retained according to the settings and retention periods of the applicable service providers.

Website chat conversations may be retained while they are active and afterward as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and protect security.

Tech Check submissions and reports may be retained while needed to provide the assessment, fulfill or document report delivery, respond to questions, maintain appropriate business records, and protect against abuse. You may request deletion by contacting Remote Life, subject to records we must retain for legal, security, transaction, or dispute-resolution purposes.

09

Protection

Data security

Remote Life uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Avoid sending passwords, financial account details, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary email or website chat.

Tech Check report links use a difficult-to-guess access token, but they should still be treated like a private document. Anyone with a working link may be able to view the report. Do not post or forward it publicly; contact Remote Life if a link should be revoked or the associated assessment deleted.

10

Control

Your choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information maintained by Remote Life.

  • Disable or delete cookies through your browser
  • Use browser privacy or tracking-prevention settings
  • Contact us about information you submitted
  • Choose not to submit optional information
11

Age limits

Children’s privacy

The Remote Life website and services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website.

12

Updates

Changes to this policy

Remote Life may update this Privacy Policy as our website, services, technology, or legal obligations change.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
